How She & Him Style It: no.4

Nothing feels more romantic to me than having my maxi skirt (and hair) blowing behind me in the wind on a grey and chilly day. Of course when that wind happens to be icy cold and I can barely stop shaking, let alone keep my teeth from clattering... well then suddenly it's all a little less romantic I suppose. But none the less, I tried folks... I tried. 

This is one of my favorite sweaters of hub's (that I conveniently got him for x-mas) and I love how nice it looks on him! It's the softest of softs and not too thick but surprisingly warm. It's a new take on the classic fair isle xmas sweaters that usually make their appearances come the holiday seasons and the navy really pops against the oatmeal. Yes I did immediately think of ways I could style it when I spotted it... but only after first thinking of how much hubs would love it. That's the funny thing in all of this, I have learned to really appreciate men's fashion and clothing... and not just for hubs, but for myself as well. These days hubs and I have so much fun shopping together for him as both of our fashion eyes have been fine tuned and with a similar tastes (thank goodness!) Can I just say my heart swells up when he looks at me with that proud look on his face and utters the sexiest words to me "you can wear it too!" What can I say, man knows the way to my heart.

P.S. I'm wearing american apparel's extra thick winter leggings under my maxi! They are the best investment for anyone living in freezing temperatures and I felt absolutely smug that people must have thought I was crazy for wearing a maxi in winter... jokes on you people!
